A SUCCESSFUL CAERUS STUDENT IS . . .
RESPECTFUL
Respect for all members of the community and for the learning environment is important. We honor all members of our community and treat each person with respect, whether teacher or fellow student. Behavior in and out of the classroom is polite and courteous at all times. Likewise, we care for the physical space of the classroom and the grounds.
RESPONSIBLE
Caerus classes meet only once a week, and therefore a large portion of the learning will be through the weekly assignments and independent projects. Students must be responsible and accountable to do the weekly assignments in a timely manner and with attention to quality of work; the teachers are not responsible for making sure the work gets done. If a student is struggling in an area, it is up to the student to ask for assistance or clarification.

ENGAGED
COOPERATIVE
Students should be actively involved in the learning process. We strive to maximize the time that we have together in each class session. Students will need to remain focused and attentive in order to get the most out of each class.
Much of our classwork is built around discussion and group projects. A willingness to work together and to participate are vital and necessary expectations of each and every student.
It is the Student's Responsibility to Manage His Or Her Own Behavior.
Patterns of behavior that are distracting or disruptive to the classroom environment, and attitudes that are disrespectful to any member of the community are not acceptable, and will result in students being asked to leave the class.
